Hi! I'm Susan Milner,
writing under the pen name, McCartney Green.
More than thirty years ago, I received a commission that
changed the course of my life:
Write your story. Write love. Begin immediately.
What eventually grew from that commission is In Jesus' Name---a fifteen-book Christian series filled with family, romance, suspense, humor, danger, healing, spiritual warfare, and ordinary people learning what it really means to live the way Jesus taught us to live.
These books are not textbooks or sermons disguised as novels. They are stories---extremely entertaining stories meant to pull you into the lives of the characters, and, I pray, leave something lasting in your heart.
And every book is available to read free.
So, what kind of books are these?
They are Christian novels and allegories filled with family, romance, suspense, humor, danger, healing, spiritual warfare, and people learning---sometimes the hard way---what it means to live the way Jesus taught us to live.
You will meet characters who fall in love, raise families, make mistakes, face danger, forgive, serve others, fight for what is right, and grow in their faith.
The lessons are woven into the stories. You are not simply told what a life of faith can look like---you get to watch people try to live it.
And yes, they are extremely entertaining. But they were written for something much greater than entertainment.
Why do I call them manuals?
These books are stories, but they were never meant to be only stories.
They were given to show, through the lives of the characters, what it can look like to truly live the teachings of Jesus---in our homes, our marriages, our families, our friendships, our woRk, our choices, and the way we treat one another.
That is why I call them In Jesus' Name Manuals.
They are not step-by-step instruction books. They are examples lived out through story---people learning to love, forgive, serve, sacrifice, stand firm, and put their faith into action.
There is much more behind why I believe these books were written, and why their message matters now.
